Context

Non-native American mink Neovison vison have decimated the UK water vole Arvicola amphibius population and predates fish, birds and other mammals

Challenge

Acting quickly and decisively is key to clearing waterways of American mink to protect water voles and other riparian species.

Our solution

We want to bring projects together to begin nationwide co-ordination of control projects and capitalise on everyone’s efforts.

The Mink MApp offers individual mink control projects a secure system to upload data visible only to their local project and the Mink MApp team, thereby allowing identification of geographical gaps where new interventions could be targeted
